Pear Pizza

November 16, 2017

This recipe was served at my Bookies Club meeting and it was quite the hit!  Everyone seemed to love it and I was told that it is the the guys “go to” appetizer at a party.  See what you think!

Boboli crust (I prefer the thin ones)
Pears (canned drained or fresh ones)
Gorgonzola Cheese
Camembert Cheese
Brown Sugar

Melt a stick of butter in a pan. Add brown sugar and let it caramelize a bit. Add the walnuts and simmer low. Brush the butter/brown sugar onto the bobolli crust. Then spread the remaining mixture with the walnuts. Scatter the pears around the crust, top with the cheeses. Bake at 375 degrees until everything is bubbly and brown. (Around 25 minutes). Let it set for a few minutes and then slice thinly to serve as an appetizer.

Simple, tasty and healthy, Bill loved it!

Robbi’s M&M Cookies

October 9, 2017

Elle & Luke whipped up a batch of these yummy treats.   Both kiddos were good at placing the M&M’s on top of the cookie, when they weren’t eating the M&M’s…or was that Mimi?!

Simple Bolognese

April 26, 2017

I’m sure that that I have made this recipe one hundred times and usually I double it to freeze for another dinner!  This bolognese can be served over any pasta but my favorite is over roasted spaghetti squash.  Either way, you can’t go wrong with Giada’s Simple Bolognese.

Light dinner or impressive lunch, this simple salad is one of my favorites.  I usually roast the chicken breasts myself but if time is short, pick up already roasted breasts from your favorite market.

Slow Cooker Beef Brisket

January 28, 2017

Found it! A great brisket recipe that I can make!  For some reason roasts and briskets have never turned out great for me but this changed my track record.  I like the “do ahead” of the slow cooker and I served it with mac and cheese and a salad.
